Notebook and office suppliesThe economy may be on its way to recovery, but unemployment numbers are still pretty scary. That means that if you have a job - any job - you are probably hanging onto it no matter how much you hate it. It also means that if you do apply for a new job you have to beat out many, many other applicants.

Persistence and preparation are just as important in job-hunting as they are in sales. Don't get discouraged by the first no you hear; keep on going. And do your homework ahead of time so that you can really shine for the hiring manager.
