TrafficA great post appeared recently on, of all places, the Modern Tire Dealer website. (You see I really do search far and wide to bring you guys great articles.) Wayne Williams reminisced about his days working at a Chevy dealership while he was in high school. Though he wasn't a salesperson for the dealership, he picked up quite a bit of information just watching the sales team operate.

One point he made strongly was the difference between a professional salesperson and what he referred to as a 'lot lizard,' a salesperson who shows up but doesn't really do the job he was hired for. A lot lizard's body may be parked behind his desk but his brain is not engaged.

Selling is a contact sport
