Being teachable is one of the aspects of being in sales. When you keep an open mind to always be teachable and to always be learning, then you will always be growing and so will your sales.
As a salesperson you will meet with many challenges that have to do with how you relate to people. Some customers will be tough cookies and even downright cranky sometimes. If you take the attitude in every situation that this is an opportunity for growth, it will remove the stress from the picture because now you will have placed yourself into an atmosphere for learning. When we are learning, we can never do anything wrong ...isn't that right? Of course it is. But also by doing this, you will naturally heighten your awareness, listen better, and pay more attention because you are in a learning mode.
Being teachable opens the door for personal growth. The more you grow, the better your relationships are, professionally and personally. Selling is all about building relationships so being teachable will increase your income as well.
